About Us
Port Huron Partners
is home to a dedicated staff of hard asset professionals committed
to serving your investment needs in a competitive marketplace. We
are a limited partnership organized to buy and sell precious metals,
coins, energy funds and gemstones. Precious metals and rare coins
have been a solid hedge against a declining U.S. dollar and can
offer outstanding price appreciation and profit potential. As a
result of problems generated by global warming, entirely new industries
are now available to our investors that deal with renewable energies,
increasing energy efficiency and protecting the world’s resources.
Gemstones are also treasured for their beauty, durability and rarity,
making them targets for investment during uncertain monetary times.
The Port Huron Partnership offers a new path for maximizing profits
precipitated by the aforementioned realities.
For the past
two-decades, our team, led by Managing Partner
Arnett Lanse Waters, has distinguished itself by providing sound
counsel to high net worth individuals, who seek to maximize their
returns. Our dynamic investment team has vast experience in the
areas of bullion, ingot, bars, mutual funds and stocks.
The secret to our success is the result of long and fruitful relationships
with our clients. In fact, 80% of our clients have worked with us
on repeat investments.

Arnett Lanse
Waters is a native Bostonian who grew up in Boston’s historic
South End. During his youth, Mr. Waters attended the prestigious
Boston Latin School, where he excelled in Latin and Greek receiving
the prize for Greek and was awarded the Derby Prize for his excellent
debate skills. He later attended Harvard College, where he was
awarded the Boylston Prize for excellence in public speaking.
Mr. Waters began
his professional career in Public Service following several entry-
level assignments. At age 24, he created a budget of $30 million
to employ and train adults in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He
was also personally selected and oversaw a twenty- five person team
that was responsible for managing the program and its two hundred
additional employees.
He was later
selected by former Governor Edward J. King to operate a statewide
program serving 30,000 individuals and employing a staff of approximately
600 people. Mr. Waters went on to serve as the Executive Director
of the Private Industry Council (PIC) and as an aide to former Senior
Vice President and Chief Economist of Bank of Boston, Dr. James
Howell.
Mr. Waters subsequently
shifted from his role in the public service sector and moved into
the investment arena at Merrill Lynch. He quickly rose from the
ranks of trainee stockbroker and was later named Assistant Vice
President of Sales at Merrill Lynch, and later went on to serve
as both Assistant Vice President and Vice President of Sales at
Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Prior to founding his own ventures,
he served as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Sales at
Shearson, Lehman.
The dramatic
increase in rare coins in the1970s and 1980s convinced Mr. Waters
that a value-investing approach existed in the growing marketplace.
Therefore, in 1990, he founded Windsor Park Ltd., an international
purveyor of high mint state United States gold and silver coins.
His recommendations and anticipation of market trends have enabled
some clients to receive returns in excess of 17% per year since
1990, which differentiates his performance from that of other private
dealers.
Today Windsor
Park is the umbrella organization under which its affiliate companies
operate: A.L. Waters Capital LLC, a FINRA/SIPC broker dealer company
focusing on investment banking and corporate finance; and Port Huron
Partners L.P., a Delaware limited partnership organized to buy and
sell precious metals, coins, energy funds and securities focused
on precious metals.
Mr. Waters served
as the Secretary for the Boston Latin School Association. An avid
lover of classical music, he also served as Director and Chairman
of the Opera Company of Boston— a distinct honor, as he was
the first black person to be named Chairman of a major Boston cultural
institution. He currently serves as an overseer to The Boston Museum
of Science. Mr. Waters retired from playing polo in 2004, where
he was a member of the Newport, RI Polo Club. He also has played
at Palm Beach, Aiken, SC and in the Dominican Republic.
He resides in
Milton Massachusetts with his wife Janet and children.
Albert L. Vickery, Chief Investment Strategist
A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts and a father of two girls, Albert Vickery graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in Psychology. His focus of studies was in the biological aspects of the field including neuroscience and analytical methods. He also undertook considerable studies in Economics and Math, and was a member of the University’s Honors Program. As an Honor’s Program member Albert was able to engage in advanced studies in Math and Science. All the while, Albert has followed an incessant interest in both the global and analytical aspects of the Capital Markets and International Banking System. A keen interest in foreign affairs and the interrelationship of the world economy has fueled his lengthy studies of the Energy Sector. For over twenty years he has studied the tools of technical analysis and analytical methods. Combining his partiality toward scientific methods and a fascination of World Markets, Albert has developed and implemented several proprietary technical trading systems at A.L. Waters Capital that has led to unique and successful strategies for clients investing in Precious Metals, Oil, Alternative Energy, and other hard asset classes. He has also developed diversified asset allocation models.
Albert is a FINRA Registered Representative and believes in a well balanced approach to investing. While many funds and their managers rely on expertise in one area, such as either quantitative or fundamental analysis, Albert strongly believes that many factors must be correlated in order to select the best investments. Combining a strong background in Math and Science with a keen interest in world affairs and macro-economics, he has developed his own approach to rating investments based on input from all aspects of the financial world. This proprietary rating system combines unique factors of technical indicators with fundamentals such as margin and cash flow analysis, debt burden and others to produce a scaled rating system which identifies the strongest investment opportunities. Albert continues to study the latest in market analysis and is presently a CFA candidate.
